AUSTRALIA; WWII Military Mail; 1937 -46: Hand-drawn “Homeward Bound” ship and dreamy island .The cover bears a 4d green Koala on the hand-drawn and colored off white “BY AIR MAIL” envelope, tied by BASE PO 7 MD 18 ( Katherine Medical Base) indistinct date. Hand stamped “Department of the Army Concessional Postage Rate” probable sent at the end of the war, given the caption and lack of censor marking .
