O CANADA: Nova Scotia; 1851-1857 1s reddish violet on Watermarked Paper, light oval grid cancel , deep color and large to very good margins all around, and showing “T” of the famous ” T.S. Saunders” watermark , extremely fine. Greene Cert.(2025) and photo of the watermark. (Unitrade 6i C$12,000) (6 (Notation))… $7,500
Probably the rarest of the Provinces rarities and far rarer than the 12p black. Supposedly 6 known unused and used , 3 sound; Dale-Lichtenstein two used (1 faulty), Skywalker – 1, Mayer – 0, This is a magnificent beauty.
