Steamer SULTANA red oval on blue folded letter datelined “New Orleans March 23, 1845 ,”carried outside the mails Route 4801 to Kentucky Brief business correspondence. Ex Hugh Feldman (lot 4305). Est. Cash Val. $200 – 300
This was the third “Sultana” steamboat built in 1843. At her launch she was the largest steamboat of her day.
