St “Saxon” and manuscript “11”. CAPETOWN DE 11 65 c.d.s. and red LONDON PAID 19 JAN 66 c.d.s., on reverse oval SWELLENDAM DE 10 1885 and weak London transit. The cover is overpaid by 1d. This lot and the prior Triangular / Rectangular combination covers are from the DeGraft Correspondence to Leiden Holland the covers are among the great rarities of Cape of Good Hope Postal History with only about 25 being noted. Most interestingly there were none found in Grand Prix Collections such as C.E. Emerson, Huston, “Maximus” or Royal Philatelic Collection.
