British Commonwealth: 1901 – 10: The pen and ink portrait used for King Edward VII Key Plate Designs, one of only ten copies signed by the artist Emil Fuchs ,mounted on exhibition page extremely fine and rare. Ex Maisel. Est. Cash Val. $400 – 600
Emil Fuchs MVD (1866 – 1929) was an American sculptor, medalist , painter and author. He worked in Vienna, London and New York. He painted portraits of Queen Victoria and King Edward VII and was fashionable among London and American high society in the early 20th Century. A nice selection of his work can be seen at the Brooklyn Museum in New York.
