E BRITISH SOLOMON ISLANDS: 1993 set of six preliminary drawings of the Orchid Aerogramme by Mary Butterfield . Orchids are a very popular design on Solomon Island stamps. Four of the drawings are pencil sketches and two are colorized Aerogramme proofs. All off the works are signed by Mary Butterfield. The preliminary nature of the work is difficult to attribute to a particular design, however one of the Aerogramme corresponds to a number MV-16959 / L127. Original artwork is unique and makes a wonderful display for an artist or exhibitor . Ex. Bromberg.
