BRITISH SOLOMON ISLANDS: Used to England; 1939 2 1/2d, 4 1/2d. 1s George V issue ,tied by faint TULAGI JU40 c.d.s. strikes on AIRMAIL envelope bearing violet boxed “PASSED BY Censor T,N.G No. 8 handstamps, envelope re-addressed in England from Guilford to Ipswich on reverse “P.T.O.”, also duplicate censor handstamps and FELTENHAM 12 SP transit. Blue Burns Philip & Co printed oval with “Sydney” crossed out and Makamno written in. Very rare combination and usage . Ex. Bromberg.
