UNITED STATES: Parcel Post; 1913 75c carmine rose . Tied by GALVESTON TEX JUN 2 1914 c.d.s.on a normal envelope, hearing blue crayon manuscript “X-55”, Appropriate spindle holes for mounting on parcel. Addressed to a Lieutenant in the 28th Infantry/5th Brigade district in Vera Cruz, Mexico. Van Nostrand remained in the military until his death in 1938 rising to the rank of Colonel .
