UNITED STATES: Banknote; 6c orange Air Post Stationery cancelled by S.S. NAVY SEP 2 1945 Tokyo Bay , (The day of the Japanese Surrender Ceremony), Hand-drawn illustration of the U.S.S. PASADENA in Tokyo Bay at anchor in front of Mt. Fujiamo. The artist, John J Keohane, appears to have been a crewman onboard the U.S.S. Pasadena for the ceremony, writing to his parents in Massachusetts. .
