GREAT BRITAIN: Two hand-drawn and colored fronts one depicting Arabs and a 5c stamp, the other has bed bugs .Both covers are addressed to “Miss Romaine”. The Arabs is addressed to 14 Connaught Place in London. 12,13,14 Connaught Place was also known as “Stanhope House” built in 1899?1901 to a design by W. H. Romaine-Walker and Francis Besant . The second front shows “bed bugs” and is addressed to Ickwell Bury Biggleswade, a property in Bedfordshire a large estate which once was home to the Horton Preparatory School, which may explain the subject of this front. Two interesting historic pieces .
